Risk

Risk is the possibility of suffering harm or loss. Thus, it is a future-oriented concept. If the future was knowable, the concept of risk would not exist. Risk is not absolute and implies probabilities. The fear of risk restricts the free flow of new information and enhances the natural propensity to discount unwelcome data.
