The Knowledge Age emerged in the 1990’s and was the result of the convergence of increasingly powerful computers, a high percentage of college-degreed workers, and the Internet. Repetitive tasks are digitized and performed by “smart machines.” The primary labor is brain work that results in constant innovation.
