A term coined by economist Joseph Schumpeter in the 1930s to describe the fundamental dynamic that drives growth in a capitalist system. Creative Destruction is the process of industrial mutation that incessantly revolutionizes the economic structure from within by destroying the old one and continually creating a new one. It is what capitalism consists in and what every capitalist concern has got to live in.
